Dallas Supporters See The Bullet Train as an “Economic Rocket” for the City.

The Texas Bullet Train Project is receiving some high praise from supporters in Dallas — by both residents and elected officials.  In a recent news segment by CBS 11 DFW, supporters are getting excited about the Texas Bullet Train bringing a new station and it’s resulting economic impact to Dallas.  Robert Wenning, a resident of Dallas said, “It would be a huge boost in the economy…”

Dallas City Councilman Lee Klienman, who chairs the Transportation and Trinity River Committee echoed the sentiment. “I’m really optimistic about it…”

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, also recently had some things to say about the importance of the Texas Bullet Train Project.  In fact at a recent meeting of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce he called the Bullet Train project a “Game Changer” for the region, echoing comments made by Houston’s Mayor Sylvester Turner at the 85th US Conference of Mayors. Mayor Rawlings also encouraged attendees at the event to continue to “think big” and “never let small-minded thinking get in the way of vision,” citing the successes of DFW airport and the DART light rail system as examples. View the full article of Mayor Rawlings Statements on the Dallas Business Journal Website.
