Winning Competition Proposals for Student-Designed High-Speed Passenger Stations
This August, Texas Central welcomed submissions for the Future Architects Design Competition. Created to engage architectural students from accredited universities across Texas, students shared their inspiring visions for proposed Texas high-speed train Stations in Dallas, Houston, and The Brazos Valley. To say that our expectations for this competition had been met would be a massive understatement.
The submissions we received were a testament to the caliber of architecture programs throughout the state, and Texas Central takes pride in knowing that these students represent our future. With over 45 proposals submitted, we narrowed the list down to 13 finalists who presented their projects before an esteemed panel of judges and the Texas Central team in Dallas.
The winners of this competition displayed truly innovative ideas, design creativity and an emphasis on sustainability — principles upon which the Texas high-speed train project will be built.
So, without further ado…
